My friend just got an Xbox One with Titanfall and we decided to play together. The match making system is likely also playing a role in the issue too.

The dude is incredible and makes it look too easy. We wanted to the campaign for him and get his titans, but with me in his lobby we could wait for 10min and still no game.
Yeah, I was being pretty vague because I haven't spent enough time with the game to form a coherent conclusion as to why. When i Id hookup que it takes me aswell 5min to get in a game and after that the game is either laggy as hell or 3 or 4 people leave within the first 2 min of the game.
Wtf happened to Titanfall ? Did the update ruin matchmaking ? | IGN Boards
Well anyway, i'm level 50 gen 3 and he is level 28 and no gen. Take titans for example; they feel much more like kill streak rewards to me now. To ask in another way that supports the actual comments: Just trying Titanfall hardpoint matchmaking deduce what's changed that might be causing matches to feel so uneven.
If you are oh so super cool and good, have fun waiting.
The game is such a blast on the very rare occaision that a workable matchup happens, but the vast majority of the time I just find it unplayable. The PC version is probably also a lot more punishing because it combines these changes with a smaller yet much more skilled player base.
While I tend to have alot of money to use, buying that stupid thing for ONE game is I've never been a fan of randomness in games that is designed to "equalize" the playing field.
I'm not saying it's objectively better or worse than the first game.
So if you haven't played in a long time, have fun waiting. I just hope to God I never get matched against him! With titanfall how ever, even with playing with my friend we either lag or it takes WAY to long to get into a game.
I aint exactly an FPS master, so my aim isnt particularly good normally, but it just goes down the drain entirely if I have to use a controller.
Doing really good only decreased your titan wait time, but in the Titanfall 2 tech test they didn't even have a timer and you had to actually earn them.
Maybe it's just beginning to becoming a series that's just not for me: But in any case I really did enjoy the campaign and will stick with the multiplayer for as long as I can.
The matchmaking was fine the the first place, perfect for me. At least with the mouse I can hit stuff. I know certain people really don't like the changes from the first game at all, and I can totally understand this because those were my initial feelings too.
I do think Titanfall 1 did a great good job at not skewing gameplay towards the more skilled players, but I also think skill should be rewarded.
One reason that I stick to PC is so I dont have to put up with my most loathed input type, which is analog sticks. Also they search people on YOUR skills and stats.
I'd been wondering about this. In the first game everyone got multiple titans per match. So yes i kinda gave up on this game untill they fix this. And I reeeaaaallllyyyyy dont want to have to get an Xbone.
